Nikhilesh K V is a nature lover, engineer, and researcher specializing in sustainable energy. He is currently working as a Student Assistant at The Green Village, where he is involved in research on the aerodynamics of Vertical-axis wind turbines, design of energy systems for green buildings, and passive heating/cooling using Phase change materials. Nikhilesh is passionate about integrating wind energy with the built environment and has a broad understanding of solar energy systems and their integration into the built environment. With his strong belief that humans can meet all their energy demands sustainably, Nikhilesh is dedicated to contributing to this cause. He has 4.86 years of relevant experience in the field, having worked as a Design Engineer at Sum, where he designed energy concepts for buildings, circular systems, and building management systems. He has also worked as a Project Technology Specialist at Saahas Zero Waste, where he introduced IoT into waste management data collection systems, assessed and evaluated technological interventions to improve and enhance ease of operations in waste management, eliminated Muda, Muri, and Mura in operations, optimized supply chains, and developed technology for waste management. Nikhilesh holds a Master's degree in Sustainable Energy Technology from Technische Universiteit Delft, where he is currently pursuing his studies. He also holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from N M A M Institute of Technology, Nitte, and completed his high school education at Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Kendra. Nikhilesh's tech stack includes research scientist and integration. At The Green Village, he is responsible for sensor installation and data collection and research into solar chimney-driven ventilation. Nikhilesh is open to working on energy systems related to the built environment and is always eager to take on new challenges in the field of sustainable energy.
